I wasn’t really tagged, but I found this on Adam’s blog and thought I would share my answers.
1. One book that changed your life:
Probably Lee Camp’s Mere Discipleship. I know it is too radical for some people, but this book really challenged me and opened my eyes to the ways of the Kingdom. He hit on topics I have been wrestling with for a few years.
2. One book that you’ve read more than once:
Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster. I’ve read it more than once for teaching purposes, but I get something new out of it every time.
3. One book that you’d want on a desert island:
Well, the “good minister” answer would be the Bible. Aside from the Bible, I would want to have A Divine Conspiracy by Dallas Willard. That is my choice because have not read all of it yet and if I was on a desert island then I would have plenty of time to read it.
4. One book that made you laugh.
Cubs Nation by some guy who has a crazy last name. I’m a big Cubs fan so this book was very entertaining.
5. One book that made you cry:
Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. His other book, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, is great too.
6. One book you wish you’d written:
Just one?
7. One book you wish had never been written:
Behold the Pattern by Goebel Music. This should also be my answer for #4.
8. One book you are currently reading:
Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller.
9. One book you’ve been meaning to read:
Embracing Grace: A Gospel for All of Us by Scott McKnight
