I’m curretly reading through a book entitled, Breaking the Missional Code. It is good and very challenging. I may have to take my time with this one.

This week my family and I will be flying to Louisiana for the weekend. Kate and I are pretty nervous about the flight because we are unsure how Cole will react to flying. Keep us in your prayers.

The small group I lead on Sunday nights has been going through all of Rob Bell’s Nooma videos. This past Sunday we watched video #4 which was appropriately titled, Sunday. He says in the video that sometimes he sits in church and looks around at everything going on and ask, “Is this really what God had in mind?” You should check out his videos.

My fantasy football team absolutely stinks. Fantasy football is like golf in that I enjoy it so much, yet it makes me so stinking mad.

These famous words may sound familiar to you. They are from the hymn, I Believe In Jesus. If you have Songs of Faith and Praise this song is number 356. The words were written by Alton Howard. He wrote and composed many other of our more well known hymns and created Howard Book Publishing. He also performed my mom and dad’s wedding.

Alton Howard passed away on Sunday, Oct. 29th, 2006. Be sure to keep his physical family, and his “forever family,” White’s Ferry Rd. Church of Christ, in your prayers.
